The Knotty Tree

Picture
This is perhaps my favorite site on McDaniel Campus. It is not in an esteemed location, nor is it convenient to study under due to the large amounts of locals, the squirrels. But it is a constant reminder to us all that beauty is found everywhere. At first glance, you would see a rotting old tree of little significance. But upon further inspection you will find yourself looking at a tree with so much history, and a twisting trunk, long branches, and plenty of nooks that lead to secret caverns now protected by the squirrels. It is actually very lovely and stunning when you take the time to look at it, which is why it is included in your site tour.
